Chelsea are reportedly plotting a bid for Alejandro Garnacho and the Manchester United winger continues to desire a move to Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Garnacho remains keen on joining the Blues after prioritising a switch to West London in January. The Argentine youngster is playing no part in United's pre-season after being placed in Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad'.
Garnacho fell out with Amorim at the very end of the 2024-25 campaign after he was left out of the starting lineup for the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. His future lies away from Old Trafford but he wants to stay in the Premier League.

Romano gave an update on Garnacho's situation and stance over a move to Chelsea after being frozen out by Amorim. He wrote on X:
"Alejandro Garnacho, keen on joining Chelsea. It was his priority in January and he’s still keen on the move this summer. Chelsea considering to bid later this month for Garnacho as said for weeks… and he’s waiting for Chelsea as priority despite bids from abroad."
Garnacho came in and out of Amorim's side last season after the Portuguese coach replaced Erik ten Hag at the helm. His future was in doubt in January amid interest from Chelsea and Serie A giants Napoli but neither were willing to meet United's asking price.
GIVEMESPORT sources indicate that the Red Devils "hope to find a buyer" for the 21-year-old before the window closes on September 1. He hasn't headed to the United States for his club's pre-season tour and is waiting to find a new club.
Chelsea have spent big this summer, bringing the likes of Joao Pedro (£60m) and Jamie Gittens (£48.5m) to Stamford Bridge. But the Argentina international remains on their shortlist and they could make a late move for the attacker at the right price.

United's stance is that every player, even those in Amorim's 'bomb squad', has a price, but if it isn't met, then they are prepared to keep them at Old Trafford. Garnacho, dubbed "phenomenal" when at his best, has three years left on his contract but a sale could help them strengthen in other areas.
