Newcastle United are “monitoring the situation” of Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, according to Santi Aouna.
The 2024/25 season will be forever remembered by Newcastle fans, who watched their club win the Carabao Cup, their first piece of English silverware in 70 years. The campaign was made even sweeter when, at its conclusion, the Magpies qualified for the Champions League for the second time in three years by finishing in the top five of the Premier League.
Despite this, it has been a tough summer so far for Eddie Howe’s side. The club have missed out on a number of targets, including goalkeeper James Trafford and strikers Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike, to name just a few. Not only that, but star striker Alexander Isak has told Newcastle that he wants to leave amidst interest from Liverpool.
The Magpies were already targeting another striker prior to Isak’s transfer request and have lodged a bid for RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko. It would appear that Newcastle, not wanting to fail in bolstering their attacking ranks, have another name on their shortlist should they fall short in their pursuit of Sesko.

Randal Kolo Muani in action for Juventus
Santi Aouna has reported that Newcastle are keeping tabs on Randal Kolo Muani, who looks set to leave PSG with a number of clubs interested in the forward. Since joining the club for £76 million in 2023, the striker has struggled to establish himself and spent the second half of last season on loan at Juventus.

It would seem that Kolo Muani has no future in the French capital and will most likely be playing elsewhere by the window’s conclusion and while he would be happy to return to Juve, talks over a permanent move have stalled. Not only would Newcastle offer the Frenchman the chance to play Champions League football, but he would be the starting number nine immediately should Isak leave.
Given the club’s interest in Sesko, whether Newcastle will pursue a deal for Kolo Muani or not remains to be seen. The French international, however, would be an exciting addition for the Magpies should a transfer materialise.
