Report: Crystal Palace eyeing move to sign ‘excellent dribbler’ in £26m deal, could replace Eze

Crystal Palace are reportedly monitoring Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Amine Adli but face heavy competition from Premier League rivals for the Moroccan.

CaughtOffside reports that Palace are one of five English top-flight clubs showing interest in Adli, who is keen on leaving Leverkusen. He has his sights set on a move to England and could be available for around €25m-30m (£21m-26m).

Oliver Glasner's Eagles head into the new season with European football on the horizon, albeit likely settling on Europa Conference League participation. The Austrian heroically guided his troops to the FA Cup, and he'll want a squad strong enough to compete domestically and in Europe.

A new attacking midfielder was one of four new signings that were on the agenda at Selhurst Park after concluding last season with a first-ever trophy. They appear to have joined a list of Premier League clubs eyeing Adli with West Ham United wanting him to replace Mohammed Kudus who joined Tottenham Hotspur earlier this summer.

Aston Villa, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also chasing Adli's signature but only Villa and Palace can offer him European football next season. The 25-year-old encountered an injury-ridden past season after suffering a broken fibula in October, appearing 20 times in the Bundesliga.

The 15-cap Morocco international is a versatile attacking "gem" (per Breaking the Lines) who played across the frontline last season, as well as in a second striker role, praised as an "incredible dribbler". The South London outfit's interest could intensify if Eberechi Eze were to depart during this window.

Reports claim that Arsenal are weighing up a move for Eze despite his release clause expiring, and the English attacker is interested in joining the Gunners. He was a key man under Glasner last season and will almost certainly need replacing if sold.
