How much has each Premier League club spend on the transfer window so far?

Manchester United finally announced the signing of long-term transfer target Bryan Mbeumo last week, after working hard to agree a deal with Premier League rivals Brentford.

The Bees are being called upon relentlessly this window, as a chunk of their best players have either been sold or are linked with an exit. Christian Norgaard has made the switch to Arsenal and Mbeumo, having been on multiple clubs’ radars, is a United player at last.

The 25-year-old joins the club on a five-year deal, which cost the Red Devils an initial £65 million. Brentford accepted what was a third bid from United and Mbeumo joins fellow new recruits Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon. The final transfer comes seven weeks after United’s initial offer for the Cameroon international and is a sign of further business to come. Ruben Amorim is looking to rebuild his squad after a tricky 2024/25 Premier League season.

Let’s take a closer look at who United have signed so far this window and how their current transfer spending weighs up against the rest of the league.

Who have Man United signed so far this summer?

Diego Leon: United announced the arrival of teenage defender Diego Leon at the start of July. With the vision to provide ample back-up across the backline, the 18-year-old dubbed an ‘emerging talent’ arrived at the club from Cerro Porteño in Paraguay. The full-back made 33 senior appearances for his previous club and contributed four goal along the way.

Matheus Cunha: With their attack under hefty criticism last season, United are looking to seriously improve on the goalscoring front moving forward. After being heavily linked with an exit from Wolves, Matheus Cunha joined United as their first signing of the summer window. The Brazilian was in high demand after he shone in an otherwise tricky season for Wolves, who spent the first half of the season struggling to get out of the bottom three.

With 15 goals and six assists in the Premier League, Cunha arrives at Old Trafford with a huge season under his belt, ready to link up with his new teammates and make an impact.

Bryan Mbeumo: The latest arrival also enjoyed a super season last time out. Mbeumo quickly became a highly sought after target thanks to his impressive 20-goal Premier League season. Scoring against the likes of Newcastle and Arsenal, Mbeumo showed he was a key player for Brentford, making it difficult for the club to keep hold of him. United fans will be eager to see what he can create with the likes of Cunha and other potential new signings supporting him next season.
