Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho is a name that continues to be linked with Chelsea this summer.
Even though the Blues already have an exciting bunch of attacking options, Man Utd winger Alejandro Garnacho, 21, is rumoured to be on the club’s radar.
Back in May, Garnacho was named on Chelsea’s shortlist, and the player was already keen on a potential transfer to Stamford Bridge.
It’s been claimed this week that Chelsea could move for Garnacho later this summer because their focus is elsewhere right now. If that’s the case, supporters could be hearing plenty more rumours about the Argentine winger during the rest of the month.

What Juan Mata said about Alejandro Garnacho last year
Juan Mata, who’s enjoyed the bulk of his career in English football, played at Chelsea between 2011 and 2014. Afterwards, he moved directly to rivals Man Utd, where he spent the next eight years.
The 37-year-old attacking midfielder is still very fondly remembered at Stamford Bridge because he played his best football with the Blues.

We’re sure that Chelsea fans will be quite intrigued to hear that Mata is a huge admirer of Blues target Garnacho, with the duo crossing paths at Old Trafford.
When discussing Garnacho in May 2024, Mata said via Man Utd’s official website: “[I’m] very [impressed]. I mean, I knew Alejandro, I know what he’s capable of. He was already showing signs of how good he could be. I think this season he made a step forward. He’s more consistent. He’s performing at a very high level, almost week in, week out, scoring incredible goals.”

Alejandro Garnacho is an experienced 21-year-old
Garnacho certainly ticks the box as a Chelsea target because of his youth and potential. Having said that, he’s actually already got a lot of experience under his belt, so he looks like quite an interesting option for the Blues.
The rapid left-winger is only six games short of 150 senior appearances for Man Utd, plus he has eight caps for international giants Argentina.
Chelsea believe Garnacho may be attainable for £40m, which in the current transfer market looks like it could be quite a smart pick up.
