Everton supporters have multiple reasons to be worried ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Firstly, David Moyes has recently come out and spoken about his dissatisfaction regarding the Toffees’ transfer activity so far this summer.
Multiple areas of Moyes’ squad still need reinforcing, particularly in the attacking wide areas, with the Premier League opener against Leeds United just over a fortnight away.
However, another reason for Evertonians to be concerned has just emerged, and it involves the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Train issues could cause chaos with Premier League season on the horizon
Before their clash against Leeds, Moyes will hope to have Tyler Dibling through the door, with Everton closing in on a deal for Southampton’s youngster.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
In preparation for their Premier League campaign, Everton are set to take on Roma next Saturday (9 August), but the fixture could be far from straightforward for match-attending fans.
Merseyrail announced a string of cancellations and changes to their services this Saturday (1 August), with a repeat of that set to cause havoc if it happens next weekend.
Over 50,000 expected in attendance for the fixture
Multiple trains were cancelled and altered on Saturday, making the service unreliable
Potential shortage of staff could ruin the matchday experience for some
With only a week to go until the game, Scousers will be hoping this is sorted by the time the Roma game and Premier League campaign roll around.
As pointed out by many on X, the scenes were rather farcical and there is a fear of a repeat for what is a high-profile fixture against Roma.
Still more business to be done for Moyes
When it’s not the lack of transfer activity stressing Everton fans out, it’s the train services; they can’t seem to catch a break.
The Blues are looking to bolster their options at right-back by hijacking a deal for Juanlu Sanchez from Sevilla from under Wolves’ noses.
Moyes has already admitted multiple transfer targets have turned down Everton this summer, so poaching a player from a direct Premier League rival would be a welcome boost.
Everton’s pre-season preparations continue over in America, when Moyes faces his former employers, Manchester United, with the Scottish manager hoping to end their stateside tour with a win and hopefully return to Merseyside with multiple new signings on the brink of joining.
