Doncic held a press conference with Rob Pelinka to assess the media's questions.
Focus of the reporters was mostly on Doncic's shape and his conditioning:
"Yeah, I would just say, you know, it was like a fresh start for me. Obviously, I was on my way and doing it. It was just kind of a fresh start," Doncic started.
"I had a little more time, you know, to get my mind on basketball, just doing other things. So I would just say a fresh start for me."
"I'll just say I can help on a little bit of everything. Obviously, a little bit faster. I don't know. Just trying to help the team, you know, condition-wise. You know, obviously playing a lot of minutes in other games, so I think that's going to be the best for me."
Doncic was asked to elaborate what he did to get in this shape:
"Like I said, you know, for the first month, I didn't play basketball at all. We were more focused on other things. So I think that kind of sparked, you know, the first five days was really hard without basketball."
"I just didn't know what to do, but after it was easier. But physically, you know, weightlifting, balancing, those stuff. And then after one month, we started playing basketball," Doncic concluded.
