Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has been named the GM of the Men’s Basketball program at Weber State.
Another NBA superstar has joined the list of players who became the general manager of their former NCAA teams.

Weber State University has announced that Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is officially joining the team as the GM.
"Success doesn’t come overnight, especially in today’s ever-changing basketball landscape,” Lillard said of his new role at Weber State.
“College athletics is constantly evolving, and building a strong program requires time, trust, and commitment. I believe in what this program represents and the culture that continues to grow at Weber State."
"The support of our community is vital to the program’s success, and I am committed to playing a greater role in that effort. This opportunity allows me to be even more involved in shaping the future of Weber State basketball," he added.
Lillard now joins the list of players like Stephen Curry and Trae Young, who also became general managers of their alma maters earlier this year.
