Nets sign one of China's top prospects

The Brooklyn Nets have agreed to a deal with 22-year-old Chinese forward Fanbo Zeng.

The Brooklyn Nets bring in another rookie to their roster for the upcoming 2025–26 NBA season.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Nets have agreed to a deal with one of the best prospects in the CBA, Fanbo Zeng.

Last year, playing in the Chinese CBA, the 22-year-old, 6’10” forward averaged 14.7 points on 53% shooting from the field and 41% from 3-point range, along with 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks for the Beijing Ducks.

Zeng first made his name known within NBA Draft circles when he attended the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) Top 100 Camp in 2019, a showcase intended to highlight some of the best high school players in the country.

In 2021, he signed with the NBA's G League Ignite program in anticipation of declaring for the 2022 NBA Draft.

Zeng played in 22 games for the Ignite in the 2021–22 season but averaged just 5.0 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 38.5% from the floor and 31.0% from deep.

After going undrafted in the 2022 Draft, Zeng signed with the CBA, where he would spend the next three seasons and play some of his best basketball.
