What Mikel Arteta has said about pre-season preparations

Arteta said upon Arsenal’s arrival in Singapore in July: “We are super excited to be here. It’s been an incredible welcome from our supporters here, they are so passionate. We are adapting as well to the context, the weather, we weren't able to train this morning, so we have to adapt to those situations as well.”

He added: “It's a great story. Probably 10 years ago, I wasn't expecting to be sitting where I am. A lot happened. I have great memories for the time that we had ten years ago here. Hopefully, we can replicate that. Train in the manner that we want. Commercially as well, send the messages and the connection we want to the supporters. We have to perform in the matches. Do it and win the games.

“Our supporters here are very passionate already. They are very excited to see the team. They haven't seen the team for a while. So live it, connect with them.“As well as immersing in the culture, we try to understand the way they feel about us and make them proud. That's the objective.”

What Thomas Frank has said about pre-season preparations

Tottenham boss Frank has taken his team to Hong Kong for a pre-season tour. He told club media of the trip: “I think it’s extremely important, Look, one thing is the training ground, where, of course, we get to know each other, but there are meetings going on and so many other things happening, double sessions and so on… now, we just have a little more time where we can interact better, staff and players.”

What Enzo Maresca has said about pre-season preparations

In Chelsea’s case, they don’t really have a pre-season due to the FIFA Club World Cup. The Blues are now having time off before a couple of friendlies just before the start of the new season. Maresca said after winning the Club World Cup: "Of course I am very excited (about the future) but I'm more excited that we have three weeks off.”
