Man Utd have sent ten players out on loan in the summer transfer window and this is how they got on at the weekend.
It was an important weekend for many of the youngsters who have left Manchester United on loan in the summer transfer window as they made their competitive debuts for their respective new clubs. It is still two weeks until the new Premier League season begins, but the curtain has already been raised on the EFL with League 1 and League 2 officially underway.
Dan Gore got off to an encouraging start with Rotherham United as he played 67 minutes in their opening day victory over Port Vale. The 20-year-old was making his second debut for the club after his loan spell with them last season was derailed when he suffered a serious foot injury just days after he made his first appearance.
Elsewhere in League 1, Ethan Wheatley played the entirety of the match as Northampton lost 3-1 away to Wigan Athletic and Jack Moorhouse played the final 25 minutes as Leyton Orient were beaten comfortably by Huddersfield Town.

Dropping down to League 2, Joe Hugill lasted an hour as Barnet were defeated 2-0 at home by Fleetwood Town in their first match back in the EFL and there was a United academy clash at Rodney Parade where Newport County drew 1-1 with Notts County. Sonny Aljofree played the full match for the away side, while Habeeb Ogunneye was an unused substitute for the Welsh club. Elyh Harrison was left out of the Shrewsbury Town squad as they drew 0-0 with Bromley on the opening day.
The standout performance of the weekend though came in a friendly match where Radek Vitek shone for Bristol City in their impressive 4-0 home win over Real Valladolid. The 21-year-old kept a clean sheet and saved a penalty as his new club smashed the La Liga 2 side in their final pre-season friendly of the summer. Vitek will be in for another tough test next weekend when Bristol City travel to face Sheffield United in their first match of the new Championship season.
