Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said that Fermin Lopez is likely to remain at Barcelona this summer amid suggestions that Manchester United are preparing a big-money offer for him.
The 22-year-old made 46 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring eight goals and registering 10 assists in the process.
However, the Spaniard is not a certain starter for the Catalan giants, with Dani Olmo ahead of him when it comes to the starting role in the middle of the three attackers behind Robert Lewandowski.
Man United are said to be huge admirers of Fermin, and it has been claimed that the Red Devils are prepared to pay in excess of €70m (£61m) to sign him this summer.
The 20-time English champions are also allegedly willing to more than double his salary at Old Trafford.

Romano: 'Fermin unlikely to leave Barcelona'
However, Romano has claimed that a deal is highly unlikely at this moment in time.
Barcelona are allegedly not looking to sell the Spaniard despite recent reports, while Fermin wants to remain at Camp Nou even though he is not a guaranteed starter.
"At the moment I am told that there is nothing concrete in it," Romano said on his YouTube channel. "Also because, the first point is Barca don't want to sell Fermin Lopez.
"Second point: any chance for Fermin Lopez to go this month is only in case the player goes to Barca, goes to sporting director Deco and coach Hansi Flick and says 'I want to go, I want to leave'. In that case Barca can say 'OK, let's find a solution'.

Man United are long-term admirers of Fermin
"But Barcelona want to keep the player, Barcelona trusts the player and Barcelona believe their squad is perfect like this and don't want to do any changes.
"And at the moment I am not aware of Fermin Lopez telling Barcelona that he wants to go. Fermin didn't do that, Fermin is fully focused on Barca so it's important to clarify that situation.
"Also financially, even if all of this happens the financial package has to be a really special package. So at the moment, nothing into it and nothing really concrete into the Fermin story."
Fermin has 19 goals and 11 assists in his 88 first-team appearances for Barcelona thus far, while he has been capped twice by Spain and is bidding to secure a spot in the La Roja squad for the 2026 World Cup.
