James Maddison was forced off against Newcastle United with a serious-looking ankle injury.
The Tottenham Hotspur vice-captain was stretchered off having awkwardly landed on his ankle, which saw him collapse to the ground in a lot of pain.
Maddison has only just returned from injury, but now he looks to have suffered a new issue, which looks to be quite severe.
Tottenham missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White now looks to be even more of a blow with both Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski sidelined.

Thomas Frank reveals James Maddison suffered “bad injury”
Spurs manager Thomas Frank has revealed that James Maddison has suffered “what looks like a bad injury”, according to Craig Hope.
The Danish manager has described the injury as a “brutal” moment for the 28-year-old, who was making just his second appearance since returning from his injury.
The former Leicester City player has a worrying injury record, hence why Spurs were looking at doing a deal for a player like Gibbs-White.
Tottenham have a list of alternatives for Gibbs-White, but these plans will now need to be accelerated following his fellow countryman’s injury.
TBR Football understands that Harvey Elliott, Alejandro Garnacho, James McAtee and Jacob Ramsey were other attackers being targeted by Spurs.
The North London club have just under two weeks to prepare for the UEFA Super Cup against PSG, and currently they are without a number ten.
