Newcastle United are now eyeing a move to sign PSG striker Goncalo Ramos as an alternative to Benjamin Sesko, according to Craig Hope.
It's been a tricky summer transfer window for the Magpies, with speculation surrounding the future of Alexander Isak having a heavy impact on their plans. The Swedish striker has been linked with a move to Liverpool, meaning Eddie Howe's side need to be in the market for an adequate replacement.
It certainly won't be easy for Newcastle to find a player capable of producing a similar level of performance that we've seen from Isak in recent years, while there's also no guarantee that he departs this summer. Newcastle are succession planning in case he does head through the exit door, and they have a crucial decision to make as to who replaces him if Isak does depart.

Portugal's Goncalo Ramos
Reporting for the Daily Mail, journalist Hope has confirmed that a 'new' name being linked with a move to St James' Park is PSG striker Ramos. Described as 'prolific' by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Ramos was looked at by Newcastle three years ago before they initially signed Isak, and PSG are now open to allowing him to depart this summer.
