Report: David Moyes will be buzzing with what Everton are 'hoping to seal' imminently as Angus…

Everton manager David Moyes will be pleased to hear the latest transfer development emerging out of Merseyside.

Everton have made four additions so far this summer transfer window, though, there is still plenty left to do.

Moyes is desperate to sign a right-winger, and he did admit in a recent interview that he would’ve liked to strengthen that position first.

The Toffees are in talks to sign Tyler Dibling from Southampton, whilst Jack Grealish has been linked to Finch Farm, too.

Now, there has been a fresh development on the transfer front, and it’ll be music to the ears of Moyes.

Everton ‘hoping to seal’ major signing within the next week

Moyes has been frustrated by the lack of business so far and is surprised so many of his top targets have turned down a move to the Hill Dickinson.

However, there is expected to be a breakthrough, as the Liverpool Echo understand a major signing is expected to be confirmed within the next seven days.

Angus Kinnear has left the US to return to Everton’s base in the UK, so it’s evident that deals will now be accelerated ahead of the fast-approaching 2025/26 Premier League season.

The report does note that any forthcoming deal to sign Grealish will have to wait until Moyes has made his priority signings.

Tyler Dibling looks likely

There’s been no word on who the major signing will be, but it does appear as though Dibling is pretty likely to join.

The 19-year-old Southampton winger is keen on a move to Merseyside and as it stands, the clubs are a surmountable £13m apart in valuations.

Everton have had an opening offer worth £27m rejected, but there is a belief that a second offer in the region of £40m will be enough to strike a deal with the Championship outfit.

Takefusa Kubo is also on Moyes’ radar, so the Toffees could turn to the Real Sociedad playmaker if the Dibling move collapses.
