The best images from Brazil's action packed victory over Colombia, which saw them earn their ninth Copa America success.

Linda Caicedo gave Colombia the lead in the 25th minute with a low strike past Brazilian goalkeeper Lorena.

But Brazil’s hopes were revived in stoppage time, thanks to a penalty which was converted by Angelina to haul the reigning champions level.

An own goal by Tarciane put Colombia back in front in the 69th minute, but Brazil substitute Amanda Gutierres pulled Brazil back into the game once again with 10 minutes to play.

Mayra Ramirez then gave Colombia the lead in the 88th minute and it looked like Brazil’s hopes of retaining their title were over.

But Colombia were not out of the woods yet as super sub Marta struck a beautiful long-range effort in the 96th minute to make it 3-3 and force the game to extra time.

Marta then gave Brazil the lead in the 105th minute after slotting home a cross from Angelina.

But still there was more drama to unfold as Leicy Santos curled a free-kick into the top corner that guaranteed the game would be decided by penalties.

It had already been a heart-stopping game and that would continue into the shootout.

Both sides scored four of their opening six penalties and Marta had the chance to seal victory for Brazil but her effort was saved by Katherine Tapia.

It then entered sudden death as Brazil’s Lorena saved Colombia’s effort to secure the title.
