In Ange Postecoglou, they also had a manager who placed a lot of trust in youngsters and gave them a chance in the first-team. If Thomas Frank’s time at Brentford was anything to go by, Spurs fans can expect more of the same under the Dane.

Predominantly a #8, Ghanem will now link up with the Newcastle U-15s team as he looks to continue his development in the academy. The amount of interest he has garnered showcases the kind of talent that he possesses.

Ghanem could have chosen the North London club as his next destination. Spurs have a track record of developing young talents like Mikey Moore but ultimately, it all comes down to the player’s preference and unfortunate, that wasn’t to be the case.

It would still be interesting to see how the youngster’s career at Newcastle United’s academy develops. Tottenham can always keep tracking him with a view of signing him in the future should he become a huge prodigy. Let’s wait and see how it plays out.
