Liverpool Star Predicted To Score“20 To 30 Goals”Next Season If He Seals£57M Anfield Exit

**Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez still has the potential to score “20 to 30 goals” a season at the highest level, according to Chris Waddle.**

The Reds are expected to offload the Uruguayan before the transfer window closes, but Waddle says he has a sneaking suspicion that the [**forward**](https://walkon.com/blog/liverpool-transfer-news-alexander-isak-opinion/) could go on to thrive elsewhere:

“I think if he gets off to a good start at a new club, he could end up with 20 to 30 goals. He’s got it in him. I think the fans at Liverpool want him to do well because they respect his work, his effort, his commitment.”

“If he does leave, that might kickstart his career in the right direction. He just needs to start scoring goals and if he can do that, you’ve got a very talented centre forward.”

Liverpool have set their “starting price” for the player

--------------------------------------------------------

It has been known for quite some time that Nunez is likely to leave Anfield, with there even being rumours in January that he was open to an exit.

Fabrizio Romano has stated that the 26-year-old’s “starting price” is €65m (£57m), although that may come down slightly if the Merseysiders can’t find a suitor.

Nunez’s likeliest destination is the Middle East

Napoli did hold talks about signing the Uruguayan international last month but the Serie A champions refused to match the Reds’ valuation. Fellow Italian club AC Milan have also been linked with the player.

However, the most concrete proposal has come from Saudi Arabia, with Al-Hilal said to have held recent conversations about signing Nunez. They are unlikely to have any issues with matching the striker’s price tag.

Nothing is set in stone currently, though, and another team could well make their move for Nunez before the transfer window closes on September 1st.
