Manchester United finished their tour of the United States with a 2-2 draw with Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.
The Red Devils will head back to Manchester having maintained an unbeaten run throughout the 2025 tour of the United States.
New signing Bryan Mbeumo made his debut in Atlanta, starting alongside fellow arrival Matheus Cunha up front.
But it was captain Bruno Fernandes who opened the scoring for United, before Mason Mount curled in a brilliant second in the second half.

Altay Bayindir – 5
Almost made to pay from an early James Garner free-kick after pushing it back into a dangerous area. Stayed rooted for several crosses, and distribution was sloppy at times. Hardly convinced Amorim that he should start the season in goal.
Luke Shaw – 5
Started as the left centre-back, but Ugarte dropping deep meant Shaw had opportunities to burst forward. However, he was caught out a few times down United’s left and often failed to escape Everton’s press.
Matthijs de Ligt – 6
Cleaned up some of United’s sloppy errors early on and stepped up into midfield to help progress the ball. A constant aerial threat. Will face an interesting battle with Harry Maguire for a starting spot.
Leny Yoro – 7
Showed glimpses of brilliance with the ball at his feet. When playing out from the back, United often looked at Yoro to progress the ball. Defensively, he used pace and power to handle Everton’s attackers. Made a wonderful block early in the second half.

Diogo Dalot – 5
Started at left wing-back but struggled to get involved, with much of United’s play coming down the right. Made a brilliant last-ditch tackle in the first half, but would have hoped to contribute more going forward.
Amad Diallo – 7
Moved back to wing-back after being given an advanced role against Bournemouth. Suffered a few lapses of concentration defensively but threatening as always when running into space on the right. Earned United’s penalty after some brilliant link-up play, but unfortunately ended the match with an own-goal.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6
Earlier this week, Amorim backed Mainoo to become ‘faster’ and the Carrington graduate was dictating the pace of this game in midfield. His passing was sharp, his positioning was good and his fitness levels are considerably better than last season. Quietly turning into Amorim’s ideal midfielder.
Manuel Ugarte – 3
Gave away a few early fouls and lost possession for Everton’s equaliser. Often dropped back into defence to allow one of Shaw or Yoro to burst forward. Suffered a really poor start to the second half, giving away possession far too easily.
Bruno Fernandes – 7
Stepped up to score United’s opener from the penalty spot. Looked sharp in possession, linking up with Cunha, Mbeumo and Amad throughout. The glue to United’s new attack.
Caught out at the back post for Everton’s equaliser, but hardly to blame for a scrappy goal.
Matheus Cunha – 7
After Cunha was left out against Bournemouth, he returned to the starting lineup here to play alongside Mbeumo up front. The Brazilian’s ball-carrying is exceptional and he was given the license to roam and find space. Played in a two-striker system with Mbeumo at times, but also dropped deep into a false striker position.
Bryan Mbeumo – 8
A brilliant debut. Looked sharp from the first minute, with some excellent touches. Mbeumo highlighted his pace after joining, and on a few occasions, he displayed his lightning-quick speed. Linked up well with Fernandes and Cunha to begin some exciting new partnerships.

Substitutes
Patrick Dorgu – 6
The standout of the tour. Dorgu has been world-class in the United States but was afforded a 45-minute rest before coming on for Mbeumo. Added intensity and energy on the left and almost snatched a late winner after bursting in behind.
Mason Mount – 8
Linked up brilliantly with Fernandes when drifting out to the left. After carving out a few half chances from crosses, Mount found space inside the box and curved a brilliant effort into the far corner. Nearly added an assist late on with a brilliant pass to Dorgu.
Harry Maguire – 5
Came on to steady United’s defence, taking De Ligt’s central spot in the back three. Aggressive in his defending and made a smashing late challenge in the final few minutes.
Ayden Heaven – 6
Looked incredibly comfortable on the ball after coming on, handling Everton’s press well.
Rasmus Hojlund – 5
United’s attacking threat died down in the second half, leaving Hojlund without much service. A very quiet 20 minutes for the Dane, who was particularly frustrated with Dorgu for not finding him in space late on.
Casemiro – 5
Came on to replace a struggling Ugarte and also looked poor in possession. Amorim’s need for a new midfielder just increased.
Tyler Fredricson – N/A
Given a three-minute cameo late on.
