Manchester United wrapped up their successful pre-season tour of the United States by clinching the Premier League Summer Series title but it was far from impressive.

Ruben Amorim's squad didn't replicate their demolition of Bournemouth, but they showed flashes of brilliance in an error-strewn 2-2 draw with Everton in Atlanta. Bruno Fernandes kicked off the scoring from the penalty spot after James Tarkowski fouled Amad in the box.

Iliman Ndiaye levelled the score with a tap-in at the back post before half-time, but Mason Mount came off the bench to curl in a goal and regain the lead. Everton equalised again at the 74-minute mark due to an unfortunate own-goal when Amad's clearance bounced off Ayden Heaven as Fernandes and Ndiaye tussled on the halfway line.

Here's the ratings for United's players as Amorim and his team prepare to return to Manchester and look for more joy in the summer transfer window, reports the Express.

United are facing a real issue in the goalkeeper position. Andre Onana is unconvincing (and injured), while Altay Bayindir inspires even less confidence. 3.

Leny Yoro

Set for a standout season. One of three players to start every single pre-season tour match. 7.

He's composed with the ball and assertive in tackles.

Matthijs de Ligt

He defended well in the first half but struggled against Everton's speed when he shifted to the right following Harry Maguire's entrance. 6.

Luke Shaw

Didn't perform as confidently as he did against Bournemouth in United's most disorganised defensive display of pre-season. 6.

Amad

Proved to be a real handful with his nimble footwork. Won the foul that led to United's first-half penalty and poses a significant attacking threat from the wing-back position. 7.

Manuel Ugarte

A nightmare performance. Lost possession repeatedly, including for Everton's first goal, and was lucky to last 72 minutes.

Amorim's system won't function if one of his players can't keep up with the pace, particularly in midfield. 2.

Kobbie Mainoo

Unlike his midfield partner, he didn't seem out of place amidst the technical quality in United's team. Like Fernandes, he needs a more defensively sound player alongside him. 6.

Diogo Dalot

Played on the left to make room for Amad, but wasn't very effective. That position belongs to Patrick Dorgu. 5.

Bryan Mbeumo

A quite impressive debut. Quick on the ball and already demonstrating a good understanding with his dynamic attacking partners. There's much more to come. 7.

Bruno Fernandes

Typically cool from the penalty spot, but didn't offer much else of note. Was involved in a pushing match with Ndiaye when Everton equalised for the second time. 6.

Matheus Cunha

His selection as centre-forward could suggest he'll start the season as United's No. 9 if the chase for Benjamin Sesko falls through. Showed some threatening link-up play with Amad. 7.

Substitutes

Patrick Dorgu

Managed to get the fans on their feet with a delightful flick that created an opportunity in the final moments. He's settling in well. 7.

Mason Mount

He's carrying on his excellent form from the end of last season into pre-season. His superb strike to put United 2-1 up in the second half was reminiscent of his Bilbao double. If he can stay injury-free, he'll have a part to play in this system. 8.

Ayden Heaven

Extremely unlucky to score an own goal. He knew nothing about it. 6.

Harry Maguire

United probably can't regularly field him alongside Matthijs de Ligt. Everton took advantage of their lack of pace. 6.

Casemiro

Amorim needs to direct those Sesko funds towards a new midfielder who fits his requirements. 5.

Rasmus Hojlund

The fact that Amorim started Cunha as his striker, despite Hojlund's impressive performance against Bournemouth, might be a clear sign of his lack of confidence in the Dane. 5.
