Plans to build a new 100,000-seater stadium for Manchester United have reportedly been hit by a standfoff over a key land deal.
In March, United confirmed their "intention to pursue a new 100,000-seater stadium as the centrepiece of the regeneration of the Old Trafford area”.
Scaled models and conceptual images for how the new Old Trafford and surrounding area could look were revealed.
However, The Guardian has reported that talks with the owner of land currently used as a rail freight terminal and needed for the project are "deadlocked due to a disagreement over the price".
The club declined to comment on The Guardian's piece about the negotiations.
