Man United target Benjamin Sesko was left out of RB Leipzig’s squad for their friendly against Atalanta on Saturday.
Premier League rivals Newcastle tabled a bid worth up to €80m (£70m) for the striker in the build-up to the match, and it seems that the decision was made to withdraw him amid speculation about his future.
At the time of writing, Sesko has still not made a decision on whether he wants to join the Magpies or the Red Devils, and fans on X have been debating what this latest development means:

That means RB Leipzig has told Sesko that they are ready to accept Newcastle bid since Utd hasn't placed a bid otherwise why would he be left out of the squad and tell teammates that he is leaving if they weren't sure 🤔

Man United need to table a bid
There has always been a feeling that Sesko would prefer to make the switch to Old Trafford. The presence of Christopher Vivell is believed to be an influential factor.
However, if Ruben Amorim’s side don’t have the funds to match Newcastle’s proposal, it’s a moot point. To show they are serious, an offer of some kind will need to be made soon.
Hojlund won’t be involved in any proposal
There have been suggestions that Rasmus Hojlund could be offered as part of a swap deal for Sesko. It would reduce the cost of signing the Slovenian international.
However, it has been subsequently reported that Hojlund isn’t interested in making the move to Leipzig, having already publicly stated his intentions to stay at Old Trafford earlier this week.
