Everton battled to a 2-2 draw against Manchester United in their final friendly match of their USA tour.
The Toffees made several changes from the side which lost to West Ham, with a change in formation as David Moyes reverted to a back four.
This saw Jake O’Brien line up at right-back, while James Garner was very impressive in a three-man midfield alongside Tim Iroegbunam and Idrissa Gana Gueye.
There was a notable absentee for Everton, and they could now be facing a potential blow as tests will be conducted over an injury scare.

Nathan Patterson to undergo injury tests
Defender Nathan Patterson started against West Ham, but was absent from the draw against Man United, and details of his potential injury have now emerged.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The 23-year-old is far from the first-choice option at right-back for Everton, but given that they are light in the position, losing Patterson to a long-term injury would be a problem.
Patterson started at right wing-back for Everton in their defeat to West Ham.
The former Rangers defender has failed to impress for most of his time at Everton.
Moyes has now claimed that Patterson’s injury severity is currently unclear, but he is suffering from a potential hernia problem, and he will be assessed when he returns to the UK from the USA.

Liverpool Echo reporter Joe Thomas shared via X (4 August): “Nathan Patterson missed Everton’s match with Man Utd due to an injury concern.
“David Moyes says full details currently unclear but club to assess a potential hernia issue upon his return to UK.”
Everton need to speed up Juanlu Sanchez pursuit
Everton have been linked with versatile Sevilla defender Juanlu Sanchez, and any injury to Patterson should speed up a deal to sign him.
Sanchez, like Patterson, is an attacking right-back, and he has established himself as a key player for Sevilla.
With O’Brien and Seamus Coleman the other available options at right-back, there is even more urgency required in signing another body for the position, and Sanchez would be a good fit as a long-term option who can also make an immediate impact.
Time is running out before the Premier League season starts, and ideally, a new right-back would arrive in the coming days to get prepared as quickly as possible.
