Rio Ferdinand reacted to the stunning performance of one Manchester United player after Ruben Amorim’s men secured a 2-2 draw against Everton on Sunday evening.
The Red Devils won their edition of the Premier League Summer Series after Manchester United picked up two victories and a draw during their tour of the US.
United were in action against Everton at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the Red Devils took the lead in the first half after Bruno Fernandes’ penalty strike on Sunday.
However, David Moyes’ men fought back against United and Everton cancelled out Bruno Fernandes’ opener after Iliman Ndiaye netted in the 40th minute of the tie.
United restored their lead over Everton in Atlanta after Red Devils skipper Fernandes set up second-half substitute Mason Mount in the 69th minute of the friendly match.
The Red Devils’ advantage through Mason Mount was short-lived, with Everton finding an equaliser six minutes later after Ayden Heaven put the ball in his own net.

Manchester United signed off their pre-season campaign in the United States with their third and final match of the Premier League Summer Series in Georgia.
Ruben Amorim and his men will now return to England for their final match of pre-season, with United hosting Serie A side Fiorentina at Old Trafford on 9th August.
Bruno Fernandes played the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Everton and the United captain was deployed behind Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.
The 30-year-old Portugal midfielder was widely influential over the proceedings at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and his superb performance caught Rio Ferdinand’s eye.
United legend Ferdinand took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and laughed off suggestions that Fernandes is the “problem” for the Red Devils.
“Bruno is the problem,” he wrote, adding three laughing emojis.
Ferdinand then added: “What a guy.”

Bruno Fernandes once again showed his importance to both Ruben Amorim and Man Utd during the Everton match
Fernandes remains as important as ever for United manager Amorim and the Portugal international was in his element with his performance against Everton.
The United midfielder was lively in attack for the Red Devils and linked up well with both of the key summer signings during the first half at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Al Hilal were linked with Fernandes during the summer window, but the Red Devils talisman opted to turn down a move to Saudi Arabia and remained at Old Trafford.
United fans enjoyed the benefits of the Portugal international remaining at the club on Sunday evening after another vintage display from the Red Devils skipper.
