Plans for Newcastle United star Alexander Isak have been revealed after he returned to the training ground after missing the pre-season tour of Asia.
It is undoubtedly crunch time for the Swede, who has made his intentions clear this summer.
In July, Alexander Isak said he is considering his options away from Newcastle United after reports of serious interest from Premier League Champions Liverpool. The 25-year-old was sensational for the Magpies last season, scoring 23 league goals and helping the club to their first major trophy since 1969.
Liverpool made a £110million bid for Isak last week, which was quickly knocked back by Newcastle. However, the Reds are set to make another approach for Isak, but their new price is still unknown.
While speculation continues, Isak has returned to Newcastle’s training ground this morning following a week in Spain for recovery and training ahead of next season. Plans for his time at the training ground have now been revealed, and they could come with big consequences.

The Newcastle squad are back in the North East following their pre-season tour of Asia, but they are unlikely to all report back for training until later this week. However, it has been confirmed that Isak has shown up at the training ground as scheduled.
Sky Sports have confirmed his attendance at Darsley Park, but it appears there will be little training for Isak and more discussions around his future.
According to Keith Downie, Isak is set to meet with Howe after he missed pre-season. Those talks will likely involve Howe trying to convince Isak to stay at the club.

Alan Shearer has resigned himself to Isak leaving Newcastle this summer, and has told Howe to sell the 25-year-old if there is no convincing him to stay. While Isak’s future is still bleak, Howe is hopeful that Isak will still be his player next season.

Talks with Howe today are significant. They could play a huge factor in how Newcastle recruit for the rest of the summer, or even what happens on the pitch when the season begins.
With the first game of the season just 12 days away, it remains to be seen whether Isak will be a part of the team that travels to the Midlands to play Aston Villa. The hope inside the club is that he will, but a lot of work needs to be done so bridges can be rebuilt and recent events can be forgotten.
