Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton in the final match of the Premier League Summer Series on Sunday night.
Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount earned Ruben Amorim’s side a point and means the Red Devils finish the pre-season series unbeaten.
United will face Italian side Fiorentina in their final friendly of the summer, before hosting Arsenal on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season.
In the meantime, it appears that United are considering a surprise move for a Brazilian goalkeeper.
According to CaughtOffside, United are interested in Botafogo ‘keeper John Victor.
The report claims that the Red Devils are monitoring the 29-year-old’s situation as they look to bolster Amorim’s options in goal.

Current United ‘keeper Andre Onana has struggled since joining from Inter Milan two years ago, making a number of high profile errors.
Those in charge of the club’s recruitment are therefore on the hunt for a new signing to bolster Amorim’s squad, and John has been identified as a suitable candidate.
The Brazilian joined Botafogo from Santos back in 2024 and has since played 85 times for the club across all competitions, keeping 36 clean sheets and conceding 69 goals.
He impressed for Botafogo at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States earlier this summer, and his performances haven’t gone unnoticed with West Ham having already made an offer for the player.
John is contracted to his current side until the end of 2028, but it appears that he could be on his way to England this summer.
It is claimed that Man United are willing to meet the ‘keeper’s release clause if they do decide to formalise their interest in the player.
