Newcastle are in the market for a new striker with uncertainty surrounding the future of Alexander Isak, but they are going head-to-head with Manchester United for RB Leipzig striker Sesko. Romano recently confirmed that Newcastle have submitted a bid, but Man Utd are ready to make an offer and start negotiations with the Slovenian centre-forward.
Isak has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, meaning Newcastle are forced to succession plan in case the Swedish international leaves the club during the summer transfer window. Eddie Howe's side have targets lined up, including Sesko, but they aren't the only club in the race to secure his signature this summer.

The Magpies are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain striker Ramos, but the Ligue 1 outfit want to keep him, so it will take a 'huge' proposal to prise him away...

Manchester United and Newcastle are both keen on signing Sesko this summer, so it's going to be a tricky decision for the Leipzig striker. If Isak leaves, then both sides are likely to be able to offer Sesko a guaranteed starting spot, so it could be an open race to secure his signature.
As a result, Man Utd and Newcastle will need alternative targets in case Sesko rejects them, and both clubs will be patiently waiting for his decision.
