Marcus Rashford is having a dream start to life in Barcelona as he is quickly becoming a crucial player for the club still on pre-season tour in South Korea.
Marcus Rashford made his Barcelona debut with an encouraging cameo of 34 minutes, and he built on it by playing another good game in a 7-3 win.
However, with two games gone, Rashford was still on a slightly different wavelength to the rest of his team, but that looks to be changing.
That is because he finally managed to do what he couldn’t in the previous two games, which is to score and get off the mark for Barcelona. Joan Laporta’s reaction said it all.

Marcus Rashford off the mark for Barcelona
Barcelona have been on a tear during their tour of South Korea/Japan, winning 7-3 against Jesse Lingard’s FC Seoul and almost matching it against Daegu FC, winning 5-0.
Again, Rashford started on the bench and came on at half-time for Robert Lewandowski, with the team leading by three goals at that point.
He came on to play on the left wing and regularly linked up with his teammates by dropping deep and then running beyond the defensive line.
His invention finally paid off after he found himself at the end of a cross in the box, which he shot with full force, sending the keeper in the wrong direction.

It was Barcelona’s fifth goal of the game and Rashford’s first as the Man Utd loanee grew in confidence after scoring.
The trademark runs and dribbling straight at the opponent with swagger could be seen as Rashford clearly enjoyed his time on the pitch.
Rashford is a masterstroke by Joan Laporta at Barcelona
It wasn’t missed that as soon as Rashford scored his first goal for the club, the camera panned straight to Joan Laporta, the club president.
Laporta was beaming after seeing his gamble work out spectacularly in the early stages of Rashford’s time at the club.
The standard of opposition will only get better, and competitive action hasn’t even begun, but Rashford has always been a confidence player, regardless of the opposition.
The current version of the player is not afraid to take risks and feels empowered by his teammates to be at his best and try things.
This is a rare deal that has benefited every party massively, but Joan Laporta might just end up being the biggest winner after striking out on a deal for Luis Diaz.
He might just have landed an upgrade for less than half the price. No wonder he is beaming at Rashford’s displays so far.
