Liverpool's pre-season preparations culminate in an Anfield double-header this afternoon when La Liga outfit Athletic Club face the Reds in two separate matches. The first game will kick off at 5pm before another match gets underway at 8pm as Liverpool step-up their plans for the new campaign.
Last year, Liverpool faced Spanish sides Sevilla and Las Palmas at Anfield before the season got underway and they will do so again this afternoon when they host Athletic Club. It gives Arne Slot the opportunity to give his players more minutes as they continue to build their fitness for their Premier League title defence this season.
And the Reds will hope to gain some momentum before next weekend, when they travel to Wembley to take on FA Cup holders Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on Sunday.
It'll also be the first time Liverpool wear their Adidas kit after their 10-year partnership finally got underway on Friday with the reveal of both the home and away strips.
