Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is reportedly attracting interest from one of Turkey's biggest clubs.
Ndidi has spent the last eight years at the King Power Stadium, scoring 18 goals from 303 appearances from the centre of the pitch.
However, with the Foxes having been relegated from the Premier League and facing financial difficulties, there has been an inevitability regarding admirers emerging for the Nigeria international.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Besiktas have decided to make a formal approach for the 28-year-old.
While Romano has not specified a potential fee, sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs has indicated that Besiktas are willing to pay the player's release clause, believed to be in the region of £8m.
From Ndidi's perspective, he is said to want to take time to consider his options, aware that he will not be short of suitors over the coming weeks.

Brentford have Wissa expectations amid Newcastle interest
Meanwhile, Brentford are reportedly expecting Yoane Wissa to make an appearance in training on Tuesday.
On the back of several key players, including Bryan Mbeumo, departing for pastures new, Brentford are battling hard to retain the services of their remaining star man.
However, Wissa - who has 11 months left on his contract - allegedly refused to train with the first-team squad last week as he looks for a move elsewhere, Newcastle United said be a potential destination.
With the Magpies yet to offer a suitable fee, it remains to be seen how the scenario will play out ahead of Brentford's first Premier League game of the season against Nottingham Forest on August 17.
Nevertheless, Sky Sports News claims that Brentford are expecting Wissa to be at their training facilities on Tuesday.
New head coach Keith Andrews says that the versatile attacker returned to training at the end of last week and seemingly does not anticipate that changing in the short term.
Stoke City's Viktor Johansson on April 12, 2025
West Ham preparing surprise offer for Stoke City man
West Ham United are allegedly giving consideration to making a bid for Stoke City goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.
With Lukasz Fabianski having ended his long-term association with the Hammers, Graham Potter is in need of more competition for Alphonse Areola.
Although Leicester City's Mads Hermansen has been linked with a move to the London Stadium, it appears that other stoppers are on the club's radar.
As per Sportbladet, Stoke goalkeeper Johansson is on their radar, the assumption being that he would become their new number two.
The nine-cap Sweden international was an ever-present for the Potters in 2024-25, keeping 14 clean sheets from 46 games for a team that finished in the bottom half of the Championship standings.
Johansson has never played top-flight football during his career, most notably racking up 155 appearances in the Championship for Rotherham United and Stoke.
Two years remain on his contract and Stoke reportedly given no indication that they would be prepared to cash in on the 26-year-old.
