Rasmus Hojlund is considering his future with some of Europe’s top clubs chasing his signature.
German clubs circling Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund, once hailed as Manchester United‘s next big thing, is now the subject of major interest from Bundesliga clubs.
Former Utd boss Erik ten Hag, now managing Bayer Leverkusen, is pushing for a reunion with the Dane. Hojlund scored 10 goals last season, but under new boss Ruben Amorim, his future at Old Trafford looks uncertain. Amorim is reportedly keen on bringing in a new striker, and that’s opened the door for offers.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag still believes in Hojlund. He sees him as a fit for his attacking plans in Germany. In addition, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt, are watching too, as well as Leverkusen. The interest shows how much Hojlund’s name still means.
Italian giants step up the chase
While the Bundesliga sides have been showing steady interest, Serie A clubs have made stronger moves. AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli, and especially Inter Milan have all lined up to try and snap up the striker.
Inter have even offered a double swoop deal involving Joshua Zirkzee, but Man Utd turned it down. The Red Devils are open to letting Hojlund go, but only through a permanent sale, not a long-term loan. Inter’s offer includes a two-year loan with an option to buy in 2026. That is something United aren’t keen on.
However, Hojlund is tempted by the idea of playing in the UCL. He feels Inter could get the best out of him. Although, he wants to stay at United and fight for his place. But, it’s becoming clear that Amorim doesn’t see him as part of the future.
If the right deal lands on the table, United could cash in this summer. It will be interesting to see how this summer window turns out for the club and the player.
