What has been surprising this summer from a Leeds United perspective is that The Whites are yet to sell a single player. Some have left on a free, while only Max Wober has been loaned out.
Leeds have spent more than £80m on seven new signings so far, with Anton Stach costing the most at a total of £19.9m. Signing stopper Lucas Perri cost £15.6m, while Jaka Bijol and Sean Longstaff were £15m.
Adam Underwood has splashed the cash on new signings without raking any in. Sunderland, meanwhile, have spent far north of £100m but have been able to due to selling Jobe Bellingham and Tommy Watson.
Leeds are expected to make sales, even earmarking Pascal Struijk and Willy Gnonto as big PSR profits if they required some profit. One player that is expected to leave the club this summer, is Isaac Schmidt.

Isaac Schmidt posts one-word message on his Instagram page
Following Schmidt’s £4.6m move from St. Gallen, the versatile full-back has endured a difficult year. The left-footed right-back managed less than 100 minutes of league action under Daniel Farke in 2024-25.
He still managed to become a Switzerland international and will be desperate to hold onto his place in the Swiss squad, ahead of the 2026 World Cup. To do so, Schmidt will have to leave Leeds this summer.
If he was unable to play much last season, the chances are that game time will be harder to come by this time around. Schmidt is expected to join Werder Bremen, but started against Villarreal on Saturday.
With Jayden Bogle sidelined with a muscle strain, Schmidt started at right-back. Not his best outing and on Instagram on Monday, Schmidt posted a cryptic one-word post amid the rumours he is set to go.

The situation surrounding Isaac Schmidt ahead of a potential exit
It is almost a week since reports said Schmidt was set to reunite with Wober at Werder Bremen, but he is yet to leave the club and is even starting games. So, why is Schmidt’s exit yet to be rubber-stamped?
Well, it is clear. Farke wants a replacement beforehand. Beren Cross reports Leeds want four new signings and one of those is a full-back, one that can play on both sides of the defence, to replace Schmidt’s exit.
LeedsUnited.News understands James Justin is a target, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been offered to the club. Leeds are said to be in advanced talks for Lugano’s Mattia Zanotti, for a fee of around £8.7m.
Until a replacement is brought in, it seems unlikely that Farke will be willing to accept Schmidt’s exit. But, he is still more than likely to be allowed to leave the club this summer, most likely on loan initially.
