Everton are looking to bolster their midfield with Chelsea ace Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
David Moyes has been open with The Friedkin Group (TFG) about the prospects of strengthening the squad before the end of August.
The American owners finally seem to be working towards building a competitive squad for the Scottish manager, with talks being held for Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Chelsea had received a bid for Dewsbury-Hall from the Merseyside outfit, but a twist has emerged.

Chelsea yet to receive Dewsbury-Hall transfer offer from Everton
No offer has been made by the Toffees for Dewsbury-Hall so far, according to Alex Crook.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The talkSPORT journalist has reported on X (4 August) that while the Merseysiders are in talks with the West London club, they’re yet to make a bid for the 26-year-old midfielder.
Last summer, the Englishman followed Enzo Maresca to Stamford Bridge, but has failed to make an impact in SW6.
Dewsbury-Hall showed a lot of promise during his time at Leicester City, and that’s certainly something Moyes will look to bring out.
Dewsbury-Hall to replace Idrissa Gueye
James Garner played in a deeper role against Manchester United on Sunday (3 August) at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and thrived.
Moyes saw his team get a 2-2 draw against the Red Devils with arguably his strongest starting lineup on the pitch.
With Idrissa Gueye not getting any younger, the Toffees need to find a replacement for him.
Everton could do with someone like Dewsbury-Hall in their ranks, who is capable of pulling the strings in the middle of the park.
Competition Appearances Goals Assists
Championship 44 12 14
Dewsbury-Hall’s Championship record in the 2023/24 season.
The 26-year-old played his best football mostly as a number eight for Leicester in the 2023/24 campaign, as the Foxes won the Championship title.
Considering the competition for places at Chelsea, it isn’t surprising to see him struggle for regular game time, but the midfielder did show glimpses of his talent in the UEFA Conference League.
The Merseyside outfit’s faithful will definitely be keeping a close eye on the situation.
