Mason Mount is the latest Manchester United player to use Amad's brilliant nickname when interacting with the forward during pre-season.
The Ivory Coast international impressed in the Premier League Summer Series while playing as a wing-back. Amad scored against Bournemouth and won the penalty that Bruno Fernandes converted in their 2-2 draw with Everton.
He has started all four friendlies so far, progressively playing more in each game before staying on for the entire match last time out. Amad's nickname is also becoming increasingly prevalent amongst the squad, with multiple players using it over recent weeks since meeting up this summer.
"Amadinho" was what Fernandes called him to catch the player's attention on their flight to the United States. The midfielder added the "inho" suffix, which is popular in Brazil and a common nickname and translates as "baby", when referring to Fred during his time at the club.
Mount has now used the nickname on his Instagram story after resharing a post from Amad that mentioned the goalscorer. Both players celebrated with a double high-five after the former scored United's second goal against Everton after being assisted by Fernandes.
Kobbie Mainoo appears to have first used the nickname last year after the FA Cup final. "Amadinho is the GOAT," he said during a live broadcast on Instagram.
The midfielder also used the same nickname when posting on that same social media platform after an impressive performance against PAOK at Old Trafford during the opening phase of the Europa League. Amad scored 11 goals and assisted another ten across all competitions last season - primarily playing in more advanced positions than he has done this summer.
The 23-year-old, though, has acknowledged having no issues with either role. "I have to adapt to every situation," Amad admitted last month.
"No matter where I play, if the manager wants me to play as a right wing-back or a number 10, I'm here to help the team. I have no problems with one position; I have no preference; I can play anywhere the manager wants me."
