'Late calls'– Man Utd's key figure finally admits'really important'transfer message to Ruben Amorim,'we continue to find...'

Manchester United chief executive officer Omar Berrada has spoken out about the “multitasking” challenge facing the Red Devils amid the summer transfer window.

Ruben Amorim has seen early improvements to his Manchester United first-team squad this summer after the arrival of two marquee signings at Old Trafford.

United made an early move for Matheus Cunha in the summer transfer window and brought the 26-year-old Brazil international to the Premier League club back in June.

Following Matheus Cunha’s £62.5m transfer to United from Wolves, the Red Devils welcomed the arrival of 18-year-old Paraguayan wonderkid Diego Leon in July.

Bryan Mbeumo has been United’s latest high-profile acquisition, with the Red Devils dropping a hefty initial fee of £65m to sign him from Premier League side Brentford.

Omar Berrada was in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia on Sunday evening for United’s 2-2 draw against Everton on the pre-season tour.

Speaking to United’s official club media, the 47-year-old Red Devils CEO admitted that the Premier League side are still “working around the clock” on transfers.

“We have to do a lot of multitasking,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.

“We have a team back home led by Jason [Wilcox], the recruitment team, that is working around the clock to ensure that we continue to find opportunities to strengthen our squad.

“There are lots of late calls and early morning meetings to make sure that we stay on top of it.”

Man Utd CEO Omar Berrada now explains the expectations at the Premier League club ahead of the new Premier League season

United’s encounter with Everton was the Red Devils’ final pre-season tie in the United States and of the three-match Premier League Summer Series.

The Red Devils came out on top in this summer’s edition of the Premier League Summer Series after Ruben Amorim’s men picked up two wins and a draw.

Berrada has now insisted that United’s main message is about “raising standards” and “being very disciplined,” which “everybody” must now uphold.

“It is about raising standards and being very disciplined, and the way you approach the application of those standards,” he added.

“We have to make sure that everybody abides by them, that everybody believes in them and that nobody falls out of line.

“It is really important for us to create that sense of togetherness around a single idea.”

United will now return to the UK for their final match of the pre-season tour, with the Red Devils hosting Serie A club Fiorentina on 9th August at Old Trafford.
