David Moyes scratches his head at major error made in Everton’s draw with Man United

Despite a solid performance against Man United on Sunday evening, Everton won’t have agreed with one decision made.

It was a game full of positives for Everton as many players proved their worth after a disappointing pre-season so far.

James Garner impressed Evertonians, and with transfer action beginning to become more consistent, the prospect for the new season is looking up.

After a strong performance, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is set to join Everton in what looks like a real coup for the Toffees.

Moyes is finally getting his wish off the pitch, but during the encounter with United, something bothered him.

David Moyes questions Man United penalty in Everton draw

In what was a fairly even affair, the Scotsman will no doubt take the point.

But once again against Ruben Amorim, Moyes experienced controversy, after Amad Diallo was barely touched by James Tarkowski which resulted in a controversial penalty.

MORE EVERTON STORIES

This obviously followed Everton not getting a penalty vs Man United last season, and Moyes must be tired of things not going their way against the Red Devils, as he questioned referee Thomas Bramall after the game in a post-match interview.

“It will be interesting to see… he had a camera on tonight, did he? Maybe you’ll get a chance to see what his view was of it,” Moyes said.

“They’ll probably have missed that bit you think? ‘I didn’t clean it right’ you know what I mean!”

Moyes’ sarcasm might cover up his disappointment at yet another poor decision against Everton, as he might expect more to come next campaign.

Referee Thomas Bramall apologised to Everton players for penalty call against Man United

It’s certainly not up for debate, Bramall made the wrong call, and he even knows it.

The Liverpool ECHO report that they were told that the 35-year-old official apologised to Everton’s players afterwards, admitting he got the slight push from Tarkowski on Amad wrong, but of course, that won’t forgive the decision.

Thankfully it’s only a pre-season game so he’s got away with one, but Evertonians won’t be as kind if the same happened during a league game.

Hopefully there won’t be more scenarios like this to come, but in the Premier League, anything can happen…
