Chelsea’s Club World Cup final opponents Paris Saint-Germain have quite a dilemma with one of their star players, Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Donnarumma is not someone PSG will want to sell this summer, but the goalkeeper is into the final year of his contract.
It means that the French champions could be forced to sell him now, which could be good news for Chelsea.
Last month, it was claimed that Chelsea are one club who are interested in Donnarumma.

PSG tell Gianluigi Donnarumma to explore transfer options
It looks like Donnarumma may now have to consider a move to Chelsea or another outfit.
According to CaughtOffside, PSG have now told the Italian to explore his transfer options after failing to agree a new contract with him.
The outlet states that Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all have an interest in Donnarumma, so they could be options for him.
The Blues still have Robert Sanchez, who finished last season very strongly. The Spaniard kept clean sheets in the Club World Cup against Donnarumma’s PSG side and Fluminense.

The opportunity to sign a goalkeeper of Donnarumma’s quality may be too good to turn down. It will now be interesting to see what PSG’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and the rest of the decision makers at the Parc des Princes do.
Donnarumma’s camp are not ruling out a stay, but PSG will not want that to happen without him signing a new deal.

Chelsea backed to challenge for Premier League title with Robert Sanchez
Many feel that Chelsea need to sign a new goalkeeper like Donnarumma to reach the next level.
Alan Brazil, though, thinks Sanchez is good enough to help the Blues challenge for the Premier League crown in the new campaign.
When Brazil was asked if Chelsea can compete with Sanchez, he replied: “I do, I do.”
If PSG cannot get Donnarumma to put pen to paper on a fresh deal, however, then they will hope that Chelsea sign him if they want to replace Sanchez.
