Nottingham Forest midfielder Green signs new deal

Nottingham Forest midfielder Mollie Green has signed a new deal with the club.

The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today.

The 28-year-old was set to be out of contract at The City Ground this summer but she has now signed on for another year.

Green joined Nottingham Forest in summer 2023 after leaving former club Birmingham City. The player has gone on to make more than 50 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring nine goals. Green featured for Nottingham Forest in every league fixture last season as the club secured the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division title and promotion to the elite game.

The midfielder is an important player for Nottingham Forest and the club have moved to retain her services for their debut campaign in Barclays WSL2.

After signing on again with Nottingham Forest, Green said “I’m thrilled to sign a new contract with the Club ahead of the upcoming season in the WSL2.

“Last year was amazing for all of us, and I can’t wait for what is going to be an exciting next part of our journey. The team will be ready for the challenge following promotion, and we’re looking to pushing ourselves again this year.”

Further Nottingham Forest squad news will be revealed in due course.
