The [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) lost 2-0 to the Hammers in Atlanta in their final game of the Premier League Summer Series, despite dominating possession and territory for large parts of the game.
Bournemouth hit the woodwork three times – first at 0-0 as Evanilson hit the post when he should have scored, then at 1-0 when Illia Zabarnyi hit the bar, and again at 1-0 when the Brazilian struck the upright.
But the Dorset side failed to make the most of their possession and were not able to breach the Hammers defence – and they were made to pay.
Reflecting on the game, Iraola told NBC: “I think we did a lot of very good things today, but it's true that you need to score, and they were much more effective than us.
“But I finished the game much more happy than I finished the other day.

The defeat brings to a close the Cherries pre-season tour of the USA, after a 3-0 win over Everton, a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United and the loss to West Ham.
Asked what he had learned about his squad in the tour, Iraola said: “Probably about the moment of form of the players.
“We have some players that I think they are in a lovely spot to start the season, but we have others that probably they are not where we want them to be.
“And it's true that we have still almost two weeks, a little bit less, but we need everyone to be on their best form so we can be competitive.”
Against West Ham, more of the team enjoyed a greater number of minutes than in previous weeks as they build up to the start of the season.
In particular, Iraola picked out Tyler Adams and Alex Scott, who both played 83 minutes after returning from international tournaments in the summer.
“I think we need them to load them with good minutes, quality minutes, because they haven't been able to train like they others because of their international games,” the boss said.

Iraola said the tour had been a ‘great experience’ for the club.
“Not only for the players, for the club to play in this kind of stadiums today with the roof, you don't really care about the weather or if it's hot or if it's raining,” he said.
“And also it has been a very good experience. I think we've played three very high-quality games. We've done some better and some worse, but I think they have been very good games.”
