Youtuber Duke Dennis Arrested at San Antonio Mall for Hide-and-Seek Stunt

Duke Dennis, best known for his NBA 2K streams and role in AMP, was arrested Saturday night while reportedly playing hide-and-seek inside a San Antonio mall after hours. His mugshot has since gone public.

The 31-year-old creator, whose real name is Denzel Dennis, was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing and evading arrest, according to San Antonio police. Officers said Dennis and others were “causing disruption” at the Shops at Rivercenter after the mall had closed. Security guards had told the group to leave, but they allegedly refused.

“An officer instructed the suspect to leave, and the suspect verbally and physically refused,” police said. Dennis allegedly ran before being apprehended by both security and responding officers. Online records confirm he remains in custody as of Monday.

Another unidentified individual was also arrested at the scene, accused of pushing an officer during the arrest. That person faces multiple assault charges.

Dennis is part of AMP, the YouTube collective also starring Kai Cenat, Agent 00, Fanum, Chrisnxtdoor, and ImDavisss. The group is known for high-stakes challenges and marathon livestreams, including their July “AMP Summer” series, which featured T-Pain and 12-hour daily uploads from a Texas estate once owned by NBA legend Tony Parker.

It’s unclear whether the hide-and-seek game was planned content for AMP or a spontaneous stunt. But the moment played out like peak streaming-era absurdity: real-world consequences with real-time views.

AMP has not issued a public statement. Dennis broke the silence only to post a cryptic Instagram Story on Sunday: “Officially on vacation, need suggestions on where to go… See y’all later.”
