The Athletic report that the Burnley have reached an agreement to sign Lesley Ugochukwu from the Blues , just two years after the defensive midfielder moved to CHELSEA for over £23m.
The club have pretty done all their transfer business in bringing players in, as Jorrel Hato is the latest name to make the move to Stamford Bridge as Enzo Maresca builds a very exciting squad for next season.
But the Blues are now keen to make sure that they recoup some of that £250 million they have spent on new players this season, and have been working hard to get a number of players out the club, Ugochukwu is a man that Maresca no longer needs.
Ugochukwu made just 12 Premier League appearances in his debut season, only three of which were starts, and was loaned out to Southampton last year, and the 21-year-old was a shining light in the relegated team.
However he is deemed surplus to requirements by Maresca despite having five years left on his contract, and now looks set to complete that move to Burnley is a move that will see CHELSEA get £23 million.
IcChelseanews says…
He is a decent player and moving to Burnley is a great idea, he will get a more permanent home, play at a very high level and will get the game time that he needs to get his career right back on track.
It is a Shame to always see players leave the club, but the lad wont be missed and we get some decent money, so it kind of works out right?
