Everton are still looking to bolster their squad ahead of the Premier League’s return next week.
The Toffees have officially signed just three new players this summer so far, but efforts to strengthen David Moyes’ options seem to have stepped up in the last week.
Tyler Dibling and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are the latest targets on the agenda at The Hill Dickinson Stadium, with further signings planned even if both players arrive.
Several players left the club at the end of the season, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Mark Travers has arrived from Bournemouth this summer, and the Irishman is expected to take his place on the bench behind England and Everton stalwart Jordan Pickford.

Nathan Patterson has featured on the right side of defence in pre-season and is expected to begin the season ahead of Jake O’Brien, who performed a makeshift version of the role for much of last season.
A potential new signing starting there cannot be ruled out, however, with the position still under consideration for investment in the coming weeks.
Jarrad Branthwaite and James Tarkowski are well established as Moyes’ first-choice options in the centre of defence, the former having agreed a new deal in July amid Premier League interest this summer.
Adam Aznou is seen as an exciting signing for the future of the left back position, but the Morocco international is likely to remain behind the reliable Vitaliy Mykolenko for now.
Everton are expected to complete the signing of Dewsbury-Hall, after a £28million fee was agreed with Chelsea on Monday (4 August).

And the midfielder will take place in Moyes’ midfield from the off, likely paired alongside Idrissa Gueye and Carlos Alcaraz.
Iliman Ndiaye starred for the Toffees last season following his move from Marseille, and the Senegal international is expected to be paired on the opposite side to Dibling, should he arrive from Southampton.
Everton are reportedly close to an agreement worth around £40m with the Saints for the 19-year-old, who was among the Premier League’s breakout stars last season.
New signing Thierno Barry could well be given the start up front over Beto, with the 22-year-old arriving from Villarreal boasting an impressive scoring record in La Liga last season.

Things looking up for Everton
Just a few weeks ago, Everton looked to be sleepwalking towards a poor start to the Premier League season, with depth and quality severely lacking throughout the squad.
But recent days have brought exciting updates for fans of the Toffees, with the Friedkin Group clearly indicating their intentions to back Moyes.
