Joe Gelhardt is one of several peripheral players at Leeds United who are expected to leave this summer.
Many of Daniel Farke’s squad are paying the price for promotion to the Premier League, but that is part of the game.
Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood and Darko Gyabi have all been linked with an Elland Road exit this summer, while Mateo Joseph and Patrick Bamford are also not wanted by Daniel Farke.
Now, former Wigan Athletic man Gelhardt has made his preference known as he edges towards a departure.

The forward made his debut for the Peacocks as a teenager, and it seemed like he would have a bright future.
Despite making a host of appearances in the Premier League, it never quite clicked at Elland Road.
As a result, the 23-year-old was loaned out to a couple of Championship clubs, including Sunderland and Hull City.

Indeed, a return to Hull has been mooted for Gelhardt, and now that potential move is gathering pace.
That is because the forward has expressed his determination to return to the MKM Stadium, according to Hull Live (5 August).
Furthermore, he has made it clear to Elland Road bosses that he wants to pursue a deal with the Tigers after his positive loan spell.
The publication reports that the two clubs are in talks over a loan for Gelhardt, with the duo trying to strike a deal this week as talks are now advanced.

Hull transfer a good move for all parties
As Leeds build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, many behind the scenes will want to move away.
Gelhardt is firmly one of those, and a Championship switch makes sense for the 23-year-old.
During his loans with Sunderland and Hull, he showed his willingness to fight for the team, and that is something the Tigers need next season.

Hull flirted with Championship relegation last season, and they simply cannot afford to have any passengers next term.
With the Elland Road club moving on to bigger and better things, Gelhardt is right to return to the MKM.
