Newcastle United are seriously pushing to bring Benjamin Sesko to St James’ Park.
While Alexander Isak is back at the Newcastle United training ground, the club are continuing to seek his replacement. That is despite Newcastle rejecting Liverpool’s opening Isak offer.
There is no way that the 25-year-old will be allowed to leave without a replacement arriving. Newcastle want Sesko, and are now stepping up their efforts to land him ahead of Manchester United.

Newcastle United’s Benjamin Sesko offer set to be accepted
Man United are interested in Sesko, but it is the Magpies who are signalling their intent.
A club-record bid has been submitted for the Slovenian striker, and a new update from Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri suggests it could be enough to bring him to Tyneside.
According to Tavolieri on X, RB Leipzig are expected to accept Newcastle United’s £78million offer for Sesko.
Tavolieri states that Newcastle are awaiting the greenlight from Leipzig, with Sesko deciding to join Eddie Howe’s side.
A package worth £78million in total would make Sesko Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever, eclipsing the £63million deal that brought Isak to the club in 2022.

What could happen next if Newcastle United do sign Benjamin Sesko
Newcastle United are finally making some progress in their pursuit of a striker, with Sesko seeming closer than ever to a move.
Landing him ahead of Manchester United would be encouraging, during a summer that has seen the Magpies miss out on multiple key targets to other clubs.
A deal for the 22-year-old could also put the wheels in motion for Isak to leave. A fresh bid from Liverpool for the Swede will surely not be far away the closer Sesko gets to becoming a Newcastle United player.
Then it will be up to Newcastle to spend the Isak money wisely. They need a second striker, with Yoane Wissa a target. It is also reported that Newcastle could move for Marc Guehi again, as they seek out a centre-back.
Things are hotting up ahead of what is going to be a wild final few weeks in the summer transfer window.
