After LIVERPOOL sold Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for £65.5m earlier this week, Jermaine Pennant has advised Arne Slot’s side to make a move and try to bring Rodrygo from Real Madrid this transfer window.
Liverpool made the decision to allow Luis Diaz to leave the club this transfer window after the attacker made it known that he was seeking a fresh challenge in the game, and that prompted Bayern Munich to make an offer.
But there has been some reports in the media which have suggested that Liverpool are looking for possible replacements for Diaz, and now amid all that speculation, Pennant has opened up and claimed that Rodrygo could be the ideal signing for the Reds.
‘Liverpool are in the business of signing world-class players,’ the former Liverpool winger told Adventure Gamers.
‘Real Madrid’s Rodrygo looks a fantastic option to replace [Luis Diaz]. He’s not some young, unstudied talent – he’s an experienced and established player as it is and watching him over the years has been exciting.
‘He’s quick, powerful, direct and very tricky to defend against and you could even say he fits a similar profile to Diaz.
‘It’d be a like-for-like replacement and a transfer that I could see the fans really getting behind.’
IcFootballnews Says…
Rodrygo is a world class player, he really is, but at the end of the day, if he was actually going to leave Madrid this summer window, he would surely have by now, there has been so many rumours.
LIVERPOOL are not afraid to spend the cash on players if they feel that stars will improve the side, so if they want Rodrygo in the next couple of weeks, then a move will be made.
But we cant see this transfer happening
