Report: Manchester United have warning for Chelsea amid Alejandro Garnacho interest

As things stand, Chelsea appear to be the most likely destination for Manchester United star Alejandro Garnacho.

The possibility of Garnacho joining Besiktas was recently ruled out, so that is one team the Club World Cup winners do not have to worry about in the race for the player’s signature.

He has also been linked with a move to Besiktas’ rivals Fenerbahce, but it is thought that Garnacho’s preference is to join Chelsea.

United, though, are not going to sanction a deal until they are ready to.

Manchester United won’t sell Alejandro Garnacho until they sign a striker

United’s stance on Garnacho is not a mystery. The football world knows that they are happy to offload the winger during this transfer window, which is good news for Chelsea.

Chelsea have already done their homework on Garnacho as they prepare to make a move for him.

According to CaughtOffside, however, United are determined not to sell Garnacho until they bring in a new striker.

United have already signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, but it looks as if they do not want to sell any of their other attackers until another is added to the squad.

It means Chelsea’s co-sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley, who head up recruitment at Stamford Bridge, may have to wait a while before they can sign Garnacho.

When Chelsea plan to make their offer for Alejandro Garnacho

Chelsea may not actually have any problem with waiting before they can make a successful move for Garnacho.

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea want to sign Garnacho towards the end of the transfer window.

In the meantime, Enzo Maresca still has new signing Jamie Gittens and Tyrique George for the left flank, though the latter could leave the club at some point.

George is currently attracting interest from Germany, and a move there is likely to appeal to him amid all of the Garnacho noise.

On the right, Chelsea look much stronger, with Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto and Estevao Willian all able to play there.
