The pieces of Wolves’ summer transfer window are falling into place, and now they’re eyeing a shock move for a Premier League winger.
Wolves have already signed Fer Lopez, Jhon Arias and David Moller Wolfe, but Vitor Pereira wants at least three more additions to his squad before the deadline shuts.
One of those is a right wing-back to replace Nelson Semedo, and Wolves are moving closer to signing Juanlu Sanchez after it was claimed Napoli backed out of a deal.
The Old Gold also require a defensive midfielder to offer competition for Andre and Joao Gomes, as well as a striker to rival Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Perhaps surprisingly, Wolves are still in the market for a wide player despite signing Arias and Lopez so far.

Wolves are interested in Liverpool winger Ben Doak
According to journalist David Lynch, Wolves and West Ham are among the clubs keen on signing Liverpool winger Ben Doak.

The exciting talent was the subject of transfer interest in January, with the Reds rejecting £20 million offers from Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town.
Doak spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough in the Championship, although his campaign was curtailed by a hamstring injury suffered in February 2025 after scoring three goals and supplying seven assists in 24 appearances.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Liverpool are considering selling the 19-year-old for the right price this summer, as he’s low down the pecking order under Arne Slot, especially following the signing of Florian Wirtz.
The Scotland international has made 10 senior appearances for the Reds and made his Premier League debut against Aston Villa in December 2022, becoming the youngest Scottish player to feature in the competition, aged 17 years and 45 days.
A speedy and direct right-winger, Doak is poised to become a Premier League star, although it remains to be seen whether Wolves are willing to splash the cash on someone unproven.
What Jurgen Klopp has said about Doak
Jurgen Klopp was the one who handed Doak his debut almost three years ago, and the German was highly complimentary of the talented winger.
“Ben Doak, obviously nice signs, he’s with us in training again,” Klopp said via Glasgow Live. “Special boy, really confident, has something nobody else delivers really, this kind of dribbling, this kind of straight-forward bravery, all these kinds of things.”
Pereira is looking for players who are fast and direct in possession, with Arias adding those attributes in abundance.
However, it is a frightening prospect to imagine Doak joining the Colombian in the starting lineup and wreaking havoc with his pace.
