Hugo Ekitike reflects on Anfield debut and future hopes

Hugo Ekitike finally experienced the Anfield roar as Liverpool secured a 3–2 friendly win over Athletic Club.

The French striker, wearing the No. 22 shirt, created the opening goal with a slick assist to Mohamed Salah.

“It was such a good atmosphere for a first game for me. I feel proud and I just wish I will play so many games in this stadium because it is amazing,” Ekitike told Liverpool FC.

He added that relationships with his teammates are growing each training session.

“Yeah, obviously I am here now for more than one week so I’m still trying to find connections with the others in the last passes and even before.

“I enjoy playing with them, outside of the pitch they are good guys also.”
