Nine Chelsea players who are still at the club have seen their profiles removed from the official website, with question marks surrounding their futures at Stamford Bridge continuing to grow. There have been wholesale changes in West London ever since Enzo Maresca took over in 2024, with the Italian tasked with managing an incredibly bloated squad that included several players he did not, and still does not, want.
While the likes of Joao Felix, Noni Madueke and Djordje Petrovic have already left the club, several others who have been shown the exit door remain. And now, the Blues have taken extreme measures to make it clear where those players stand by banishing them from their website.
The Nine Players Chelsea Have Removed From Website
Raheem Sterling heads up the list
As first reported by The Sun, of the 47 members of the first-team squad, the nine who no longer have profiles on the club website are headlined by England internationals Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell. Both completed loan moves last season but struggled to make an impact - Sterling was labelled Mikel Arteta’s worst signing at Arsenal, while Chilwell served as a back-up during Crystal Palace’s FA Cup-winning campaign.
Neither player has secured a move since returning to Chelsea and both are currently training separately from the main squad. Meanwhile, Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja are both expected to leave, with Premier League newcomers Burnley reportedly closing in on deals for the pair. Axel Disasi is another notable omission from the website after spending last season on loan at Aston Villa.
Academy graduate Alfie Gilchrist broke into the team during the 2024/25 campaign but now appears to be surplus to requirements, while Renato Veiga, who was set for a move to Atletico Madrid before the deal collapsed, also finds himself sidelined.
Carney Chukwuemeka, once highly rated upon his arrival in 2022, is likely to remain at Borussia Dortmund following his winter loan move. Lastly, David Datro Fofana rounds out the list, with the Ivorian striker having last played for Chelsea in 2023.
Interestingly, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall remains on the list despite an impending move to Everton, while Mykhailo Mudryk also remains despite serving a doping ban.
