Melanie Kamayou, 35, had had a Birkin bag and a Rolex wristwatch stolen from her in the car park of San Carlo on Wilmslow Road.

Ross was also in court over concern in the production of cannabis due to the discovery of drug-related messages on his mobile phone.

At Chester Crown Court last month, he pleaded not guilty to the first of the charges, which was withdrawn due to a lack of evidence.

However he pleaded guilty to the second of the charges before being sentenced to two years in prison by Recorder David Knifton.
